Weleda began in 1921 as an apothecary laboratory and plant garden, which changed into the world's first all-natural personal care brand. Today Weleda has three locations: Switzerland, Germany, France. From these bases they produce natural cosmetics with thousands of pharmaceuticals still created partially from medicinal plants on their own gardens. With its focus on human beings and the world as a whole, Weleda's founder Rudolf Steiner envisioned the brand completely at the service of human beings and the world as a whole. Through fair trade, biodynamic cultivation and the supportive development of their employees, sustainability is the core value of Weleda.
