North West LDN rapper and creative Casscade has just dropped these striking new visuals on GRM Daily's YouTube Channel, teaming up with director Lukey who has delivered some stunning visuals to match the track, Crazy Scenes. 'Crazy Scenes' was dropped late 2020, with Casscade collaborate with the hotly tipped artist/producer Raj Forever and prolific American producer Saint Cardona (His portfolio of works include; Young M.A, Octavian, Fivio Foreign and Mariah Angelica).
'Crazy Scenes' was premiered by DJ Semtex on Capital Xtra and was also championed by GRM Daily, including it in their Under The Radar playlist. With its accessible drill-flavoured beat, mixed with Casscade's playful bars and melodic approach, the track might well signal the diversity and richness of UK's music scene in 2021. Raj Forever escalates the track with a memorable chorus hook, nailing down the radio-friendly vibe and joyful message.
South Londoner Raj Forever has recently been championed by BBC Introducing, BBC Asian Network and BBC Newsbeat - who spoke to him about his cross cultural upbringing and the discrimination that some south Asian and Jamaican relationships/families encounter.
Lyrically, Casscade takes the phrase 'Crazy Scenes' as inspiration to build the track around an aspirational statement. Looking back at the harsh environments both artists grew up in, to where they are now Casscade explains:
"The 'I still hear the screams part' in Raj's hook signifies that although we may not particularly be in bad situations anymore, they've left their scars. Nobody is perfect, and I think it's always good to remember where you came from."
'Crazy Scenes' follows Casscade's previous single 'Hurry Up & Buy' which features the Gold-selling German artist Joshi Mizu. Released early this year it streamed 50K times in 8 weeks on Spotify. It was added to the 'Auf Level' playlist (the No.1 German hip hop playlist on Amazon Music) with other media support coming from Backspin Mag, Mixtape Madness, SBTV and Noctis Mag. Another heavy weight support for Casscade has come from 4x Grammy-winning producer Anthony Kilhoffer, who played 'Finesse' on his Instagram live with DJ Semtex, which led to 'Finesse' being featured on Semtex's '5 Tracks You Need To Know' show on Capital Xtra.
